Dr. Walter Rapp is a scientist at the Department of Sport Medicine at the Medical University Clinic of Tübingen in Germany. He and his colleagues compared the Kine completely wireless EMG to a traditional wired EMG system, both for slow and fast movements. In addition to the Kine EMG, they also used the Kine Input Box (KIB) to synchronize the EMG to another analog signal. “The greatest benefit was to cut down the preparation time by about 40%”, says Dr. Rapp, “while getting the same high degree of signal quality”. “It was also good to get rid of the cables that can sometimes be a problem during fast movements and recording several muscles simultaneously”.
